Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second book of the series written by J. K. Rowling in 1999 at Edinburgh. It is more of a children’s novel and the genre is detective fiction and fantasy. The author shows her fondness for heroes. The major conflict of the novel evolved when Harry, Hermione and Ron discovered and destroyed the creature at the Chamber of Secrets that frightened the students. The creature had caused series of tragedies as it turned one student into stone.
The adventures written in this book has delighted every child fantasy that there is another world that is existing aside from our own. The novels let us envision the magical world that we are not able to see. It describes those non-magical people as Muggles who live oblivious to wizards. The book also defines the borderline between fantasy and the real life. When Harry Potter decided to return to the Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry he received warning from the creature named Dobby that disaster will strike and it does.
